This policy explains how PeriodCode handles data on the website and in the PeriodCode mobile app.
PeriodCode App
PeriodCode helps users understand the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and related support guidance. Data entered in the app may include last period date, cycle length, profile data, notes, reminders, pregnancy data, and locally created backups.
This data is sensitive. PeriodCode is designed so core app data stays stored locally on your device. The app does not require an account, does not sell personal data, and does not use advertising tracking.
Data Processed by the App
- Cycle data, such as period start dates, average cycle length, and estimated cycle phases.
- Profile data if you use more than one profile.
- Pregnancy data if you enable pregnancy mode.
- Reminders and custom notes that you set in the app.
- Exported backup files if you choose to back up or restore your data.
App Storage and Sharing
App data is stored locally on your device. If you export a backup, you control that file and are responsible for where you store it or who you send it to. If your device is backed up through third-party services, such as phone system backups or cloud storage, that service provider may process the backup under its own privacy policy.
PeriodCode does not use app data for advertising, does not sell it, and does not share it with other users unless you take a deliberate action outside the app.
Device Permissions
The app may use device permissions only when needed for a specific feature, such as reminders or working with a backup file. You can manage permissions in your device settings.
Children
PeriodCode is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

The Gravatar privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Where Your Data Is Sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service that may be located abroad. Data stored locally in the PeriodCode app is not sent to PeriodCode servers unless you export it or take another deliberate action outside the app.
How Long We Retain Your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so follow-up comments can be recognized and approved automatically instead of held in moderation.
For registered website users, if registration is available, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except they cannot change their username. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Your Rights

You can also request deletion of personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we must keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Data stored locally in the app can be deleted directly in the app or by uninstalling the app from your device. Exported backups can be deleted wherever you stored them.
